Left Behind-Again!

Now that May 21 has come and gone, perhaps we should ask how so many of us knew that Jesus wasn’t coming back on Saturday. It is true that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night (1 Thess. 5:2-4). Harold Camping should have known better than to set the date. But I can’t help feeling disappointed that Saturday ended like any other day. I am even more disappointed that I was so certain it would. It could have been Saturday. It might be today. Even so, come Lord Jesus.

Here is a story about a time when I thought that the rapture really had come. It appeared in Christianity Today in 2005:

Come, Lord Jesus—But Not Too Soon | Christianity Today | A Magazine of Evangelical Conviction.

  1. On Sunday the 22nd, I told my congregation Jesus should come back on a Monday. That way I won’t have an unpreached sermon.
The longer I live the more I see Heaven as a greater reality than what is going on down here. Thankfully by doing good works, I can send on ahead treasure that the Lord Jesus will put in His storehouse. Praises to Him to loves us so.
